Film watchy
Jun. 19th, 2003 07:53 amSaw The One last night, which was sort of fun. The general idea was somewhere between Sliders and The Matrix (much ripping off of Matrixiness). There were lots of pretty/clever special effects, which were mostly also a bit pointless. I mean, well done Jet Li for hitting another man with two motorbikes at once, but why didn't you just smack him in the face? Fair enough, they need to communicate to us how incredibly strong he is, but isn't he also supposed to be terribly clever? I'd think he would be looking for the quickest way to take the man out.
Still, Jet Li does rule. And we have Once Upon a Time in China and America to watch too; tonight if I get my way (due to the recent failure of my cereal packet music career).

Date: 2003-06-19 03:20 am (UTC)1. Is in 3/4 time signature, the cereal packet programme having only beat samples in 4/4. (In fact, I'm beginning to suspect techno might not work in 3/4 anyway.)
2. Is a SID (C=64) tune that I am not techy enough to convert into a wav/mp3.
So I guess my fame and fortune will have to wait until:
A. Someone provides me with an easy-to-use windows based SID converter.
Or
B. We move house so Mr Eris can dig out the proper grown-up music software.
