Then again, we might never get it, like soooo many other games. For example, I've just discovered that the reason I never managed to find any FF games for the Gameboy is that they don't appear to exist for us poor Europeans. Ugh.

Note that the Gameboy and the Gameboy Advance are not the same thing.

Are they good? I started playing 1 on a NES emulator ages ago, but I didn't get very far. It's so long ago I can't remember why I stopped, though.

I haven't got a GBA, but I'm thinking about it...

I know, I was pointing you towards buting a gba, they're very cheap now that they're the last gen.

The games are quite good, the origional games with apparently improved graphics. I played ff1 for ages and then stopped while I caught up on some reading and now I have NO idea what to do or where to go next in the game.

But yeah, I'd recommend them to a fan such as yourself.
If you want you can borrow it for a while.
