Good noise/Bad noise

Last night I learned what foxes sound like (at 4am). It's not so much of a 'yipping'* as a dreadful screeching.

On the other hand, Therapy? are still ace.


*Which suggests to me a sound not unlike a small dog might make.

Heh, when I booked the flights, I was all excited; then I realised it was still more than a month away and calmed down a bit. I'll get excited again in another couple of weeks. :-)

yes foxes are everywhere - think suburban foxes probably outnumber the countryside ones here in Derby/shire. I live in a third floor maisonette and hear them quite a lot at night, the vixens do scream loudly and the male dog fox sounds a bit like a dog with laryngitis (if that makes sense). Recently I've bean hearing an owl a night too. Oh and I got a lovely greasy/dusty imprint of a collared dove on my living-room, window where the bird just crashed into the closed window and then bounced off dazed and flew away :s
