Aug. 27th, 2004 08:19 amI skated home most of the way from the bus stop last night whilst slightly drunk and only fell over twice. And one of those was due to my skates deciding a slight incline was in fact a mountainside and slamming me into the wall at the end. I swear they have some kind of motor in them or something - they gather momentum all by themselves. When I get any good at this I will be able to go really fast. Which is a plus as I'm proposing to skate home from work most days, and it will probably end up quicker than the bus.
In case anyone cares, I got more expensive skates in the end for precisely this reason.
I realised this morning that my default friends view has decided not to show me any new posts for the last two days. I thought it seemed rather quiet. I expect there is a community or something where this may be explained, but I suppose I should go to work now.
Or perhaps not.
Yes, I think I will work from home today.

Date: 2004-08-27 01:37 am (UTC)Oh, how proper blades rule!
BTW last night, I didn't skate but Andrew put me in a shopping trolley and promptly crashed me in the middle of the road. No rollerblades can compete with the unstoppable momentum a good, solid, Sainsbury's trolley can offer you...
*Ouch*
