The faq said that the way to do this is to mark them all private one by one, which was the wrong answer.

Date: 2004-08-27 01:47 am (UTC)You could also do it with no programming, but more typing involved, by copying the HTML source off the Livejournal page that does the private-flag-changing, then pasting and saving it many times over (adding <BASE HREF="http://www.livejournal.com"> to the HEAD section), just changing the entry number in the form source each time. You can get a list of entry numbers by looking at the HTML source off your Livejournal archive calendar. You could do all of this in Notepad but it would probably be quicker to use a text editor that supports recordable macros such as Textpad (http://www.textpad.com), Emacs or Vi.
