According to the bunch of dodgy cigar smokers I was chatting to at the pub last night, cigars have less additives mixed in with the tobacco.

Look, I told you, cigarette tobacco is more refined - Cigar tobacco can only be absorbed through the mouth, wheras ciggie tobacco can be absorbed by the lungs, stomach and so on. Spreads the cancer around a bit.

Different strains of tobacco (most cigars actually have 3 tobaccos).

Cigar tobacco is cured & fermented and isn't mixed with a bunch of extra chemicals to make them burn better & be more addictive.

Aapparently, because cigar smoke is generally not inhaled into the lungs, it's bred to be more effective at delivering nicotine through the mucous membranes of the mouth.
