Cardiacs were excellent. I was a bit concerned that I wouldn't know any of the songs as they were only playing very early stuff, but I needn't have worried because I actually recognised quite a few from Archive, and then they played Stoneage Dinosaurs at the end (which isn't that old).
Jon was not playing - he had just got back from touring with the Wildhearts or something equally wrong, but the bloke filling in for him was very splendid and had enormous hair gently blowing in the breeze.
ben_elr noticed that Jim is actually Patrick Moore. He was obviously In Disguise (like carrots, handbags, cheese...) though, because he wes not wearing a monacle and didn't even play the xylophone!
I am always delighted by the big smug grin that Tim wears at all Cardiacs gigs. He's obviously well proud of himself.
